CNC-Dressing Discs DR.KAISER

CNC-dressing of grinding wheels with rotary diamond dressers allows to use one dressing design for trueing and dressing a number of different part shapes. The ability to control dressing parameters through the use of a CNC control makes fine tuning of process control quick and simple.
Information is necessary to determine the layout of an NC profile dresser for a specific application.

The information needed is:
(1) The specifications of the grinding wheel, (2) Part geometry and finish requirements, (3) Grinding machine dresser spindle specification, (4) Proposed process goals.
CNC dressing discs can be designed for specific applications by choosing certain diamond arrangements and grades. Typically natural diamonds or synthetic diamonds are used in handset or randomly-distributed versions to achieve specific corner or tip radii used to form the grinding wheel.

Application

CNC-dressing discs are used to dress conventional and vitrified CBN grinding wheels on CNC grinding machines, either for straight dressing or form dressing. Applications range from single part production to mass production in the automobile industry. DR. KAISER offers relapping to original tolerances of NC profile dressers, thus reducing the need to purchase new dressers.
